Lorraine Dean

Lorraine has lived in Little Venice since 1983 and ran a family electronics business on Edgware Road for 17 years. She now works locally at the City of Westminster college as a teaching assistant to young disabled adults. Lorraine’s interests are education, social services and disability issues.

Lorraine is was first elected as a Councillor for Little Venice in May 2018.

Parsons House podium site

Works have commenced at the Parsons House podium site to construct a new block which will provide 60 new homes of which 19 will be affordable flats. The work will involve demolishing the disused car park next to Parsons House and creating a new basement car park.
20 mph

Should we introduce more 20 mph zones in Little Venice Ward?

There is some evidence from elsewhere in the UK that a lower speed limit only changes behaviour if it is done in selected areas as opposed to across entire districts, which is why initially Westminster has introduced 20 mph zones mostly around schools as opposed to across the whole city.
