building

A significant planning application has been submitted to construct a new building at the Ark Paddington Green Primary Academy in order to increase the number of pupils. The proposed new total capacity is 590, which is not only 135 more pupils than the current approved capacity, but also adds 300 more children to the current roster of pupils.

Your local councillors are in touch with several local people who are concerned about this proposal and what it will mean for traffic, parking and idling along Maida Avenue, Park Place Villas, St. Mary’s Terrace, Howley Place and Porteus Road. There is also concern about proposals to remove some or all the trees in the area between Park Place Villas/Maida Avenue and the new nursery building proposed. Cllr Caplan said, “we are working hard to ensure that the concerns of residents are addressed.”

If you have any concerns please get in touch so we can seek to get changes made to the application. You can reach us by email [email protected].

More Police in Marylebone

The single most important issue that residents tell us matters to them is feeling safe when walking around the area.

Unfortunately, we regularly receive reports about shoplifting in Marylebone. We have managed to get the council to install several CCTV cameras.
