There is some evidence from elsewhere in the UK that a lower speed limit only changes behaviour if it is done in selected areas as opposed to across entire districts, which is why initially Westminster has introduced 20 mph zones mostly around schools as opposed to across the whole city.

Better broadband for Soho

Westminster City Council and Community Fibre have announced the roll out of new “ultrafast” broadband across Soho. The faster, cheaper services will be available to residents and businesses. West End Councillor Jonathan Glanz is WCC’s lead for Broadband. He has pushed hard for new services.

More double yellow lines installed in Little Venice

As previously reported, we are now seeing the final batch of new double yellow lines being introduced following requests from local residents who have had access to their homes blocked by cars parked on single yellow lines.
