Lorraine has lived in Little Venice since 1983 and ran a family electronics business on Edgware Road for 17 years. She now works locally at the City of Westminster college as a teaching assistant to young disabled adults. Lorraine’s interests are education, social services and disability issues.

Lorraine is was first elected as a Councillor for Little Venice in May 2018.

Cycle Hangars Installed in Little Venice

We are delighted that three new cycle hangars (Sutherland Avenue, Warwick Avenue and Venice Walk) have been installed in the ward.
Drainage

Drainage Improvements To Reduce Flood Risk

We continue to seek improvements to the drainage infrastructure in the area.  We have managed to get the council to invest in some additional drainage in Warwick Avenue and the works were completed at the end of last month. This will protect residents in both Warwick Avenue and Pindock Mews.

New Electric Vehicle Charging Points For Little Venice

In Little Venice Ward, we already have 87 electric vehicle charging points and a further 4 points were added on Porteus Road earlier this month.
Flooding

Little Venice Councillors Get Thames Water To Spend £10m On Anti-flooding Devices For Residents

We have been pushing Thames Water hard to do more to support households following the floods last July. We have had some success and finally Thames Water have agreed to spend £10M on Flooding Local Improvement Processes (FLIPs) and Non-Return Valves.

Recruitment fair for local residents in Little Venice

Cllr Green visited Paddington Green last week, where fitness brand Gymshark was organising a recruitment event for its new Regent Street flagship store. ­Gymshark reached out to the Council’s Westminster Employment Service to help recruit as many local residents as possible.
Adpar Street

Work to start on affordable homes in Adpar Street

Student accommodation application on Travis Perkins Planning site rejected

All three of your Conservative Little Venice councillors spoke against this application at last week’s planning committee. Members listened to residents’ objections and refused permission for the application.
Fleming Court

Fleming Court resurfacing complete

We are pleased to advise that the driveway and the area in the internal courtyard have all been re-laid and there is now a smooth surface throughout. This is a big improvement and when we visited last week, we were thanked by local residents who appreciated this upgrade to their environment.
