Lorraine has lived in Little Venice since 1983 and ran a family electronics business on Edgware Road for 17 years. She now works locally at the City of Westminster college as a teaching assistant to young disabled adults. Lorraine’s interests are education, social services and disability issues.

Lorraine is was first elected as a Councillor for Little Venice in May 2018.

We know that the number of residents acquiring electric vehicles is increasing and, as your local Conservative councillors, we want to do all we can to support residents that make that choice. A number of residents have asked if we could provide resident parking bays for electric vehicles only.
Storm clean up

Storms Eunice and Franklin clean up in Little Venice

Following heavy winds in our area due to Storms Eunice and Franklin, we liaised with council services to ensure that a number of fallen tree branches were removed. A lamppost also needed to be repaired on Clifton Road.
Deep Clean

Deep cleaning at Warwick Avenue

Your Little Venice ward councillors arranged for a special Valentine’s Day deep clean around the micro recycling centre at Warwick Avenue station. The big black bin sites on Warwick Avenue, Clifton Gardens and St. Mary’s Terrace will also be deep cleaned.

Cabinets

Utilities cabinet repainted in Little Venice

We arranged for the dirty, old Virgin utilities cabinet on Randolph Avenue, outside Melbourne Court to be painted. We are continuing to press BT and Virgin to remove, or at least paint, their cabinets around the ward as they make the area look very untidy.
Parsons House

Improved Public Realm and New Community Space at Parsons House

The development of 60 new flats at Parsons North (Venice Court), including 19 affordable units for local residents, is almost complete.   As part of the development, public realm improvements have been made in the area adjacent to the development and in front of Parsons House.
