Caroline Sargent

Councillor for Abbey Road Ward
Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Enforcement
  • Councillors

Caroline Sargent is a lifelong Londoner and has called Westminster home for more than 15 years. Before returning to the city with her family, she worked internationally in the conference industry and now runs her own business. Caroline has long been an active local volunteer, supporting a legal charity and the Chelsea & Westminster Swimming Club, CWSC.

As a councillor for Abbey Road Ward, Caroline has campaigned for increased CCTV, stronger enforcement, and more visible policing across St John’s Wood and neighbouring areas. With family roots in Westminster stretching back five generations, Caroline says: “I will stand up for Westminster residents who want a cleaner city and safer streets. We welcome people coming here to visit, work and enjoy our city, but we ask them to respect it, because it is our home.”

Contact Caroline by email, or via the constituency office on 020 7730 8181.

It's time for the Mayor of London to get on and regulate pedicabs

Thursday, 8 August, 2024
Thousands of local people, along with business owners and tourists, have been calling for the licensing of pedicabs to tackle the rogue operators whose loud noises cause irritation and whose rip-off fares penalise Londoners and visitors alike. Former MP Nickie Aiken delivered the Pedicabs (London) Act 2024 earlier this year, which gave Transport for London the power to finally regulate pedicabs.
