Out in St John's Wood earlier today, Cllr Caroline Sargent caught up with local resident Sue, who shares the frustration of many of us about the roadworks on Grove End Road.

We spoke with Cllr Caroline Sargent:

"I'm here on Grove End Road today, looking at some of the traffic chaos caused by the roadworks. I'm here with one of our local residents who will explain the impact it's having."

Local resident, Sue, explains

"The roadworks, which started in September and will go until February next year, are in different parts of the road. They are moving down.

"Where they are now, the temporary lights mean that traffic comes to a standstill, is backed up, and blocks the junction across the four roads just behind me. In rush hour, it's chaos with everybody honking and screaming, and nothing moves".

Cllr Caroline Sargent continues:

"What we want the council to do is to tell us what impact assessment they conduct when allowing these works to take place, and what measures they're going to put in place, mitigation measures, like a temporary bus stop, to help people with disabilities and elderly people who now have to walk nearly half a mile between bus stops.

"Please get in touch if you've been affected by this."
