Westminster should be a place where every community feels safe. In this message, Cllr Caroline Sargent explains why she joined colleagues at today’s rally to support Westminster’s Jewish community and stand against racism of any kind on our streets. Community safety remains a top priority for the new Conservative administration.

Cllr Sargent explains,

All Westminster residents from our diverse communities should feel safe on our streets and they don't. And as recent events have shown, our Jewish communities are particularly at risk.

Community safety is one of our new Conservative administration's key priorities.

So that's why I'm proud to be, in my first act as the new cabinet member for enforcement, to be attending today's rally with my new colleagues, Elizabeth Amos from the West End Ward and Louise Shaw from Little Venice ward to show that we won't tolerate racism of any kind in Westminster’s streets.
