Festus Akinbusoye served as Police and Crime Commissioner from 2021 to 2024, overseeing a £140 million budget, having previously served as a Special Constable. He has spent years giving back to his community as a YMCA trustee, a further education college governor and a mentor to young people in alternative provision schools and in prisons.
An entrepreneur for over 20 years, Festus started his business in London, growing it from his parents’ council flat into a company that now employs 40 people across the UK. He is passionate about public safety, supporting young people and helping local businesses succeed.
A father of four and former professional basketball player, Festus has recently moved to St John’s Wood and has already immersed himself in local life, including inspiring young people in local schools.
