We spoke to Abbey Road Councillor Caroline Sargent about residents' frustration that TfL and the Labour Council are failing to tackle anti-social behaviour locally.

Caroline explains,

"I'm up in Abbey Road, where we see more evidence of anti-social behaviour associated with rough sleeping on TfL land. Now local people have been complaining about this for months but TfL have still not secured the site. Please sign our petition to get the Mayor and Westminster City Council to take action now."

Homelessness and rough sleeping is rising under Labour

Monday, 16 March, 2026
The numbers are stark. Homelessness and rough sleeping in Westminster are at record highs and is the highest of any council in the UK. The Labour-led council has allowed this crisis to get worse, with near year-on-year increases, without proper support to help people off the streets. This is the reality of life under this Labour-led Council: distracted by pet projects and headlines instead of helping vulnerable people who really need it.
