Ebury Street

Westminster City Council has been consulting on two new schemes to improve the junction of Ebury Street and Lower Belgrave Street.

The Council has approved a scheme, submitted by the Belgravia Residents Association (BRA) and which will be funded from the Community Infrastructure Levy.

This would remove the redundant traffic signals at the junction of Ebury Street and Lower Belgrave Street, building out the footways and repaving the existing ones and carriage way.

In addition, WCC proposes improving safety outside St Peter’s School by restricting vehicular access during school arrival and departure times, building out the pavements and making the length of road past the school one-way.  Cllr Jacqui Wilkinson says “I am delighted to see these proposals that will make this junction more attractive, better for pedestrians and safer for our most vulnerable road users”.

It's time for Safe Streets in Westminster

Wednesday, 1 April, 2026
Under Labour, crime has got worse. Phone theft, antisocial behaviour, public disorder and drug dealing have all increased. People think twice before using their phone on the street. Shopkeepers have accepted shoplifting as a daily reality. Families avoid their local parks. And schools have lost community police officers. All under Sadiq Khan’s watch as Westminster Labour have overseen managed decline.
