Churchill Gardens estate remains one of the safest in London with low levels of crime. However, persistent anti-social behaviour (ASB), acts of vandalism and nuisance remain a concern.

Cllr Gassanly is working with the local police and Westminster Council’s ASB teams to address these issues and has recently written to the Leader of the Council and relevant cabinet members asking for additional resources and calling for a robust public protection regime to be implemented. Our hard-working local police officers need greater support.

Community Protection Zones have now been set up at key ASB hotspots and additional CCTV coverage is being rolled out across the estate. Cllr Gassanly is seeking more resources from the Council to secure comprehensive close-circuit coverage of Churchill Gardens communal areas, access points to the estate and other ASB hotspots.

Its time for Safe Streets in Westminster

Wednesday, 1 April, 2026
Under Labour, crime has got worse. Phone theft, antisocial behaviour, public disorder and drug dealing have all increased. People think twice before using their phone on the street. Shopkeepers have accepted shoplifting as a daily reality. Families avoid their local parks. And schools have lost community police officers. All under Sadiq Khan’s watch as Westminster Labour have overseen managed decline.
