St John’s Wood School

As part of the Council’s desire to make roads safer near to our schools we extended ‘School Streets’ to a further 11 primary schools from 1st June including our very own Barrow Hill Junior School.

Bridgeman Street is now closed to traffic at both drop-off and pick-up times during the week with drivers facing a penalty if they ignore the temporary traffic ban at these times.

As David Tomlinson, Headteacher, says:

"I am grateful for the help our local councillors have provided in getting the introduction of a Schools Street installed for Barrow Hill Junior School which provides valuable safe space for the pupils, staff and parents and I am sure will encourage more local journeys to be made by foot".
