Food delivery

Councillors Richard Elcho and Emily Payne have worked quickly to put in place a local response, including support groups, telephone partnering, Local shopping deliveries and entertainment.

We have set up a special website - Bayswater Covid19 Support - to coordinate our community response.

We have set up street by street WhatsApp groups and are running email updates for those who do not have WhatsApp. The purpose of these are to look after our neighbours, share the latest news and updates and coordinate those in need of support with local volunteers.

A number of residents will be increasingly isolated during this period so we have set up telephone partnering where local residents will be partnered to ring those who might be more isolated to check that they have everything they need and for a chat.

We have partnered with Waitrose to enable vulnerable or elderly residents to place orders through us (as we are aware it can be difficult to get a delivery slot due to high demand).  Telephone payment is taken directly by Waitrose over the telephone and we arrange for volunteers to deliver locally.  We also offer a prescription collection and delivery service.  This is operational every day except Sunday and we will be taking the bank holiday weekend off (Friday to Sunday inclusive). For more information please email Cllr Emily Payne by email or 07899 299856.

We have been donated a supply of surgical face masks for residents (think dentist masks), please use the above contact details to get in touch if you would like one.

We are working closely with the council and police during this time.  We have worked with the police to break up a local squat which had taken advantage of an owners absence and are working with them to disrupt those breaching lock down with parties.  Do your part to keep everyone safe, stay home.  If you are becoming bored we list events and activities on our website.

Labour is being careless with your money and failing on crime

At Labour’s Westminster City Council budget last week, I made Westminster Labour answer for their reckless spending and weak action on rising crime and declining street standards. Westminster Labour has wasted £27 million on a failed housing contractor, self-awarded senior Labour councillors pay rises of up to 62 per cent and are projected to hike your Council Tax by 75 per cent over the next four years.
