Improving car parking on the High Street

High Street

There is currently high demand for parking and loading/unloading on the High Street. Cllr Gotz Mohindra carried out a walkabout on the High Street with members of the St John’s Wood Society and Westminster Council Highway Officers seeking ways to improve the parking situation on this important retail street.

A number of options are currently being considered including reducing the size of existing parking bays, extending the area allocated to car parking and moving the car club parking bays. It is clear a carefully balance approach is required between the need to maximise parking for visitors, servicing need and road safety. We welcome your views on how we can further improve the High Street in regards to parking or any other issues so do get in contact by emailing us.
