People enjoying the summer

As Inside Out returns for another year, we spoke to Westminster Conservatives' Leader Cllr Paul Swaddle about the scheme.

"I'm thrilled to announce that Inside Out is returning once again this August, ready to transform the streets of Westminster with art, performance, and wonder!

Started under Conservative leadership, Inside Out is a free festival which showcases our city’s vibrant cultural scene in streets and open spaces right across Westminster.

Get ready for a fantastic lineup of activities for all ages, including interactive installations, captivating live storytelling, and much more. Whether you're looking for family fun, are an avid art lover, or simply a curious wanderer, Inside Out offers a unique opportunity to explore your imagination right here in our vibrant city.

There is a diverse range of events planned, and here are just a few highlights you won't want to miss:

  • Plastique Fantastique at The Photographers Gallery (Friday, August 8th, 4pm to 7pm): A captivating performance-fiction featuring song, improvisation, and storytelling inspired by Hollywood cinema, science fiction, and folk traditions. Perfect for art enthusiasts and those looking for a unique performance.
  • Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre (performances take place on 20, 22, 26, 27 and 29 August): Join for puppetry, dance, drama or craft workshops after experiencing The Enormous Crocodile, a mischievous musical based on Roald Dahl’s snappy book. Perfect for children aged 4 to 11.
  • Sounds of Reggae at The Photographers Gallery (Saturday, August 16th, 12pm to 4pm): Enjoy a vibrant outdoor party with DJ sets and short talks celebrating the enduring sounds, roots, and influence of reggae music. A great choice for music lovers.

It's worth remembering that this wonderful initiative, bringing so much free art and culture to our community, was a Conservative project that first began during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. We're proud to see it continue to thrive and bring joy to Westminster residents.

We can't wait to see you there!"

Friday, 29 August, 2025
Five months ago, in early April, local Little Venice Councillors Melvyn Caplan and Lorraine Dean reported a broken fence between Hall Park Estate and St Mary’s Churchyard. This issue remains unresolved, and so there is a significant amount of anti-social behaviour disturbing people living nearby.
