Weight restriction ignored in St John's Wood

Weight Restrictions

There are certain roads in St John’s Wood which have a weight restriction of 7.5 tonnes except for loading. These have been identified as being unsuitable for use by heavy goods vehicles (HGV) and are designed to prevent rat-running.

So when your local councillors were informed of a Tarmac HGV using Hamilton Terrace as a short cut, where a weight restriction is in place, we moved quickly to contact Tarmac. They acknowledged their error and the inconvenience this caused. Subsequently Tarmac have notified their entire London and South East haulier team to ensure they comply with the restrictions in place not only on this road but others. If you notice any breach where a weight restriction is in place do contact us and we will happily follow-up.
