Junction plans

Transport for London (TfL) has just launched a consultation on proposed changes to the junction of Edgware Road and Harrow Road. These proposals are part of the wider TfL Safer Junction programme which is being introduced across London.

The general principles are good and we support the overall programme. There is one concern that we have which is the proposed banning of the left turn from Harrow Road into Edgware Road where the police station used to be. The proposed new route for diverted traffic would take vehicles, including large delivery or construction vehicles along Paddington Green and into Church Street.

We are concerned that this could lead to problems in Church Street with too many cars unable to get through the short light sequence at the junction of Edgware Road. We would be grateful for your views on this and if you are concerned about this proposal, we would urge you to respond to the TfL consultation. To give feedback please visit their website.

More Police in Marylebone

The single most important issue that residents tell us matters to them is feeling safe when walking around the area.

Unfortunately, we regularly receive reports about shoplifting in Marylebone. We have managed to get the council to install several CCTV cameras.
