Safer crossing at Sale Place junction with Sussex Gardens

Sussex Gardens

Crossing Sale Place has been made safer thanks to a build-out of the pavement.

This gives protection for pedestrians heading along Sussex Gardens towards Edgware Road and comes as Transport for London are delivering a series of safety improvements at junctions on Edgware Road itself. The build-out complements the council’s pedestrian safety improvements recently put in place on Strathearn Place, Hyde Park Street and Hyde Park Square.

Heather Acton says that further pedestrian improvements are planned to make walking safer and more pleasant, area wide, but particularly to and from Paddington Station.
