Our priority in Westminster City Council when it comes to rough sleeping is to engage, offering support and a pathway away from the street although often this help is rejected. Here in NW8 we occasionally find rough sleepers, the most recent being on the Regent’s Canal Towpath. The good news was our outreach team engaged and persuaded this male to come in off the streets.
Streetlink is an online tool allowing members of the public to report rough sleeping which is then passed onto a local team (Westminster Outreach service) who follow up, so if you have any concerns on someone out on the streets, please do contact Streetlink or alternatively contact Paul, Gotz or Robert. You may also find Westminster City Council's Rough Sleeping Helpline useful.
