Local people, especially parents with school-age children, are very concerned about increasing anti-social behaviour, drug taking, drug dealing and drunkenness in and around Great Peter Street, SW1.

We caught up with Cllr Mark Shearer who is calling for a greater police presence in the area.

Mark explains,

"Hello, my name is Mark Shearer and I'm a councillor here at Westminster Council for St James's Ward, along with my ward colleagues, Tim Mitchell and Louise Hyams.

"We are deeply concerned about the anti-social behaviour going on here at Great Peter Street. We have reports of drug taking, drug dealing, aggressive begging, alcohol, tourism, drunkenness, and loitering. This has got to stop, so please do contact us on the link below if you've experienced this and we will do what we can to encourage more enforcement around the streets, especially from the police.

"Thank you."
