We all seem to receive more cardboard boxes than ever but how do you break them down? Well, your Conservative Council have introduced new letterbox cardboard and paper bins which are currently being trialled across the Borough. 

­One such bin, located in our ward at Springfield Road junction with Abbey Road, encourages residents to break down cardboard boxes for recycling. We waste 22% of our cardboard here in the UK, contaminating it unnecessarily with food and other rubbish, meaning it cannot be recycled so we hope this new initiative will help reduce this wastage.
