Bike

Air quality remains the number one issue for local people and as a result we are seeing an increase in cycle usage and ownership of bikes however with this we have also seen more bikes being abandoned.  Recently we had removed an abandoned bike in Wellington Place and Aberdeen Place.

If you suspect a bike has been abandoned, then please contact us.  Alternatively, you can contact the Westminster Environmental Action line on 020 7641 2000 or use the online street problem reporting service.

Labour cut 1,000 police officers in London, breaking their promise to keep our streets safe

Monday, 25 August, 2025
Labour’s decisions are making our streets here in Westminster less safe. In just one year, new figures show that London has lost over 1,000 police officers - and that includes officers taken off our streets here in Westminster. Across the country, Sir Keir Starmer has left our police forces with a £350 million funding black hole, forcing cuts and slashing recruitment by 17%. That means fewer neighbourhood officers, slower response times, and overstretched teams who are being asked to do more with less. Forcing our police to pick and choose which crimes they respond to is simply unacceptable.
