Selina Short

Councillor for Vincent Square Ward

Selina has lived in Vincent Square ward for over 24 years and some of her family moved into the ward during the war. She was first elected in May 2018, and currently sits on the Council's Vulnerable Adults, Health and Communities Policy and Scrutiny Committee and the Ratings Panel.   Previously she served on the Adults and Public Health Policy and Scrutiny Committee and Planning & City Development Committee.

Away from her Council work, Selina worked in Parliament for 14 years, supporting MPs in dealing with issues raised by their constituents. She has also been a volunteer worker in Central Asia.

Selina has made a difference locally by working on solutions to local issues from rough sleeping and housing to traffic management.
