Alex Duguid has grown up at the heart of Westminster and is a proud lifelong resident. An economist by training, he has experience at the centre of British and international policymaking, giving him a clear understanding of how to design and deliver effective solutions to the challenges Westminster faces. As an active campaigner who regularly engages with residents, he has a strong grasp of the issues that matter most — from crime and antisocial behaviour to the pressures facing local businesses.
Alex says, "I’m standing because Westminster is my home. After four years of seeing the impact of Labour’s soft-touch approach - a council that too often feels like the enemy of residents rather than their partner, and a failure to get the basics right - I want to be part of the team that turns Westminster around into the place we all know it can be."
