Elliot Keck has lived in Paddington Basin, in Hyde Park ward, for the last six years with his wife, and was born just a few hundred metres away at St Mary’s. He is passionate about making the area a better place to live and has led successful campaigns to save the post office on Praed Street, stop the redevelopment of Travis Perkins into international student accommodation and tackle antisocial behaviour on Kendal Street.
Elliot sits on the committee of the Hyde Park Estate Association, giving him a detailed understanding of the concerns that residents in Connaught Village and the Hyde Park Estate have, particularly around rogue cyclists and the Mayor’s plans to pedestrianise Oxford Street.
Elliot says, "I am fed up with Labour’s monopoly on power in Hyde Park. It has been a disaster for residents, with the Labour council and Labour councillors simply unwilling to stand up to the higher-ups, most notably Mayor Khan."
