Safety Concerns at new C51 Junction on Hamilton Terrace in St John's Wood

Last week, your Conservative Action Team met with people concerned by the chaos and confusion at the new junction on St John’s Wood Road and Hamilton Terrace, which forms part of the unpopular C51 cycle scheme.

It was installed at great expense to improve cyclist safety, yet we saw little evidence that cyclists are using it. Cars, on the other hand, were using the dedicated cycle lane to turn left into Hamilton Terrace!

This is unsafe, and your councillors have called for it to be monitored and for improvements to be made.

BBC London - Westminster Council demands a full environmental impact assessment on Oxford Street

Saturday, 29 August, 2026
