Swaddle challenges Labour on Fair Funding Review

Conservatives have consistently called for housing costs to be properly recognised in the Fair Funding Review. 

Westminster Conservative Group leader, Paul Swaddle, said:

“I have raised questions for months, pushed for clearer information, and kept the pressure on to make sure Westminster’s housing needs are not overlooked.

At Council, I challenged the Labour Leader for an update on what representations he has actually made and why residents are being kept in the dark.

Labour are now trying to claim credit for progress on the issue. But we all know this follows long periods where there was little clarity or openness from the Labour administration in Westminster.

Working with other councils is welcome. Collaboration matters. But the people of Westminster expect openness, transparency and leadership from day one. Not only when questions start being asked."
