What would you ask Westminster's Labour-led Council?

Swaddle Speaks Up

Politicians spend too much time arguing with each other, sometimes shouting, and not enough time listening. Our Conservative colleagues at the Council are keen to hear what matters to you, the people who live in our great city of Westminster.

At every Council meeting there is a slot for public questions – and you can ask them about anything that the Council is doing or failing to do.

There is a lot to challenge the council about. The failure of Labour-led Westminster Council to stand up to the Mayor of London. Rising crime and anti-social behaviour. Everyone knows someone who had a mobile or bag snatched on the street.

Concern over council services. Rubbish left on the street, recycling collections not happening, bins not being emptied. Local people not being consulted over changes to road layouts. Slow repairs to council housing stock. The uncertainty over PDHU in Pimlico.

Sadly, Labour only allows 30 minutes for questions, and there is not enough time for everyone to have their say.

That's why we want to hear from you: what would you like us to raise with the Council on your behalf. And help us to hold this failing Labour administration to account.

Help hold Westminster's Labour Council to account

At Full Council meetings, members of the public have a unique opportunity to directly question the Labour administration on issues that matter most to you. We've observed a concerning trend: a tendency to fill these vital public slots with pre-arranged, 'easy' questions. This silences the genuine concerns of our community. That's why we need your help to ensure real issues are heard.
