Our Plan to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in Bayswater and Lancaster Gate

Local people living in Bayswater and Lancaster Gate are becoming increasingly concerned about increased crime and anti-social behaviour in their part of Westminster.

We spoke to local Lancaster Gate Councillor Laila Cunningham, who outlined the plan to tackle these concerns.

"I'm calling on Westminster Council to implement a Public Spaces Protection Order in our ward, Lancaster Gate.

"This gives the council more powers to deal with the increase in anti-social behaviour and crime that we've seen, and it can set certain rules and impose fines if they are breached.

"And it could be certain rules against public drinking, urinating and defecating that, sadly, we've seen an increase in.

"Loitering, and all kinds of anti-social behaviour that I know residents suffer from, on a daily basis. So please help me in convincing Westminster Council to implement it by signing my petition that should be through your letterbox, very soon. Thank you."
