Many local people have contacted us to share their concerns about anti-social behaviour taking place on and around Great Peter Street.

We are particularly concerned for children at St Matthew’s Primary School, who have written to us to say they are sometimes too scared to walk to school. We are sure you will agree this is a totally unacceptable situation that must be rectified.

Over the past year, there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour in the area and as your local councillors we are determined to work with the community to improve things for everyone.

It is very important to us that the views of local people are listened to.

We have arranged a community meeting so that local people can hear directly what steps are being taken to try and improve things - and give you the opportunity to share any ideas you may have. We have invited the Police, Hostel management, Council officers and Peabody representatives to join us.

The meeting is taking place at 6 pm in St Matthew’s Church Hall on Tuesday 30 January 2024. Everyone is welcome to attend.

It's time for Safe Streets in Westminster

Under Labour, crime has got worse. Phone theft, antisocial behaviour, public disorder and drug dealing have all increased. People think twice before using their phone on the street. Shopkeepers have accepted shoplifting as a daily reality. Families avoid their local parks. And schools have lost community police officers. All under Sadiq Khan’s watch as Westminster Labour have overseen managed decline.
