Gordon Hospital proposals in Vincent Square

Gordon Hospital Sign

The Gordon Hospital, which contained 51 inpatient beds, was closed 'temporarily' in March 2020 to keep patients and staff safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nearly four years later Westminster has been left without mental health provision. Yet the demand for mental health services has, if anything, increased.

Your local Conservative Councillors Selina and David do not think the Gordon is necessarily the best place for supporting those with mental health challenges; it is old and old fashioned in many ways.

Previously, its operation has also been difficult for people living in the area. However, in lieu of the new mental health facility in Westminster, which we think our city desperately needs, you may think it is the only option to support patients who want to be treated and can best be treated near their families.

We encourage everyone to share their thoughts on this issue via NHS Northwest London's newly launched consultation.

The consultation will run until the end of January 2024.

Please kindly share the link below with neighbours and friends. We will continue to monitor this issue closely and keep people updated.

Our Plan for Safe Streets

Its time for Safe Streets in Westminster

Wednesday, 1 April, 2026
Under Labour, crime has got worse. Phone theft, antisocial behaviour, public disorder and drug dealing have all increased. People think twice before using their phone on the street. Shopkeepers have accepted shoplifting as a daily reality. Families avoid their local parks. And schools have lost community police officers. All under Sadiq Khan’s watch as Westminster Labour have overseen managed decline.
