We caught up with local Councillor James Spencer in Pimlico Gardens and heard about the exciting plans to revitalise the area. It's important that local people get involved and suggest ways in which the Gardens could be improved.
I'm in the wonderful Pimlico Gardens here in the heart of Pimlico. And it's a great resource, much loved by the local community for walking, for sitting around, walking dogs, and having fun.
But for too long this space has been underused, which is why after years of campaigning, your local Conservative councillors have secured funding to revitalise this area, to bring back some of the life, to bring back some of the amenities.
And what we intend to do is to have a children's playground.
We're going to get some funding to revitalise the old gardeners' hut into a community café.
We're going to get great seating here so people can enjoy a tea or coffee looking out over the river, and we're going to look at how we can improve the planting and hopefully create some space for personal trainers and other sorts of physical activity.
Now, this is a community project.
We want to hear from you.
We want all the views from residents, whether they be in St George's Square, in Dolphin Square, or the Tachbrook Estate about what they want from this space. "So do get in touch with us and tell us what you want from the improvements in Pimlico Gardens.
