Ed Pitt Ford is a local community activist, living in Pimlico. Watch his update above on the roll-out of Electric Vehicle charging points in Westminster.

Ed explains

As you'll be aware, we've declared a climate emergency in Westminster, and that means we have a target to be net-zero by 2040.

As part of this, we're rolling out electric vehicle charging points across the borough.

I'm here in Charlwood Street and this is one of over 1000 electric vehicle charging points in Westminster, more than any other borough in London. We have a target to roll out another 500 of these this year alone, hitting a ratio of one vehicle charging point per eight electric vehicles and hopefully we'll continue to hit that ratio as the years progress.

If you would like an electric charge point near you, if you're thinking about getting an electric car or have one ready, please do get in touch and we can take that into consideration when we're locating them.

Thank you.
