Storm clean up

Following heavy winds in our area due to Storms Eunice and Franklin, we liaised with council services to ensure that a number of fallen tree branches were removed.

A lamppost also needed to be repaired on Clifton Road. We are also in touch with Westminster Housing on the replacement of a tree that needed to be felled between Cuthbert and Crompton Houses.

For advice on how to get post-storm support, please see the Council’s website.

A Conservative-led review has confirmed £30 million of wasteful spending under the previous Labour administration, including a £27 million liability from a contractor signed off without due diligence and a £3 million overspend awarded to a firm already fined for bid rigging.
