Sherwood Court Car Park

Yet another unsuitable sublet has occupied the Shouldham Street Car Park.

Our priority is to make sure the building is safe, and we are liaising with our Environmental Health Team to arrange inspection to access the risk of fire.

In addition, because car parks of residential buildings are enforced by the Health and Safety Executive (not the City Council); the HSE has been contacted and asked to visit.

We will also continue to exert pressure on all associated parties and have arranged for Planning Enforcement to ask the new tenants to make a planning application for the current use. To date no such application has been received but we need to remain diligent and keep the matter under active investigation.

We are pleased to report the Planning Inspectorate has sent written confirmation that the previous tenants have formally withdrawn their appeal and we can now announce that the previous tenants have moved out of the premises.
