“Many of you have complained to us and to the police about E-Scooter and Cycles ASB”, says Cllr Selina Short.
“Our local ward panel of residents, police and councillors agreed to make this a Vincent Square priority.
"Our excellent local police worked with Transport Command colleagues across the area, especially where you have said riding on pavements and red light jumping is a problem. Warnings and fines were issued to both e-scooter riders and cyclists, including one e-scooter which was seized after the rider failed to stop for police and tried to make off.
"As well as the seizure he will now have 6 points on his driving license and a £300 fine for driving without insurance. More such operations will follow as you have asked for them”, says Cllr Selina Short.
