We pride ourselves on providing clean streets along with twice-weekly bin collections in return for the lowest Council Tax in the country. If in doubt, a short trip over the boundary into neighbouring Labour Council territory is all you need to witness regimes that charge twice as much Council Tax for once-fortnightly bin collections, dirty streets and poor value-for-money services.
But our track record doesn't mean we are complacent or that our streets are perfect when there is the on-going challenge of local fly-tipping, rubbish dumping and graffiti. So tell us when you see a problem and together with our brilliant City Inspectors and our Veolia recycling and street cleansing teams, we will respond swiftly to keep our blossom-filled streets of St John's Wood beautiful.
Just some of the problems we've encountered over the last few weeks in Hamilton Terrace, Springfield Road, Townshend Road and at the bus shelter in Abbey Road.
