"We start the New Year once more in the unwelcome shadow of COVID-19" explains the Conservative Leader of Westminster City Council, Cllr Rachael Robathan.

"We all know that the last two years have been incredibly challenging for everyone, and the emergence of the Omicron variant and further restrictions just ahead of Christmas was a real blow. But I hope that everyone, nevertheless, managed to have some time with friends and family and have a really happy Christmas.

"And you should know that throughout this period, your councillors, your Westminster councillors, have been working throughout to make sure that the vital services in Westminster continue to run smoothly and the support is available for everyone."

Watch her message above - where she explains the actions the Council is taking to tackle the top concerns of local people - homelessness, feeling safe and clean streets.
