Christmas Market

While we completely understand the need for the Government to act swiftly to safeguard people’s health, the announcement of new COVID-19 restrictions last week was a blow for many businesses trying to recover from the impact of the pandemic.

Conservative-led Westminster City Council remains committed to supporting businesses of all sizes across our City through what has been an incredibly difficult period.

The Council has worked closely with central government to provide businesses the support they need to survive and, in some cases, thrive. Following last week’s announcement, Leader of Westminster City Council, Rachael Robathan has written to the Chancellor calling for further support for businesses across Westminster given that office workers have been encouraged to stay at home in the run up to Christmas, leading to a mass of cancelled bookings and lost trade in this vital period.

A range of support for businesses remains available via the council. If you are a business owner and are interested in any if this support, you can contact the Council’s Business Unit here to find out more information.
