Southwick Street and Rainsford Street

Following extensive conversations with neighbours in Southwick Street and Star Street, we are preparing to move the benches that attract anti social behaviour.

As these are also used as a welcome resting point, we are keen to identify alternative locations where the benches will be appreciated by local people. Please don’t hesitate to send your ideas.

In neighbouring Rainsford Street, working with your Conservative councillors, our Neighbourhood Coordinator and City Inspector have stepped up the frequency of local police patrols and put up signage to discourage rough sleeping. Visits from rough sleeping outreach workers are also made and extra cleaning provided as needed.
