Lillington and Longmoore Gardens

All of Westminster City Council’s 29 parks and public spaces with Green Flags have retained their Green Flag status.

The Green Flag scheme recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the UK.

As well as including some of the City’s most famous green spaces such as Hyde Park and Leicester Square Gardens, Westminster’s 29 winners also include three of Westminster's estates: Pimlico's Churchill Gardens and Lillington and Longmoore Gardens estate and Lisson Green in Marylebone.

Reacting to the news Cllr David Harvey, who is the Cabinet Member for Housing Services as well as a Vincent Square local Councillor, said:

“Quality green spaces are vital to people’s wellbeing. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly to maintain them throughout the pandemic.”
