Autumn Nights Campaign Relaunched

The Council wants everyone to be able to safely enjoy Diwali and Bonfire Night this week.

To keep people safe, your Conservative-led Council has relaunched its Autumn Nights campaign to make sure everyone has the right information they need to stay safe.

This time of year is traditionally one of the busiest periods of the year for antisocial behaviour case officers, the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade and other agencies.

To help prevent antisocial behaviour, the Council is:

  • Putting up posters in hotspots and across Westminster estates with advice and information.
  • Increasing highly visible estate inspections, some with Police to search for weapons and potential fire hazards.
  • Working with youth, community, and residents’ groups.
  • Providing Police with temporary access to CCTV.
  • Warnings given to certain individuals about the strong tenancy enforcement measures that may be taken if residents do not comply with safety measures.

This Autumn Nights season, you can help keep your neighbourhood safe by reporting any incidents.

If you’re a Westminster City Council tenant, you can report antisocial behaviour in housing to us in confidence 24/7 via your MyWestminsterHousing online account or contact the Council on 0800 358 3783 or by email.

To report misuse of fireworks, call the police on the non-emergency number 101. In an emergency, or if you are in immediate danger, always call 999.

All residents can report crime anonymously to Crimestoppers by phoning 0800 555 111.
