Council Funding

Since 2018, Cllr Murad Gassanly has approved over £150,000 in ward funding for local organisations carrying out projects to improve and enrich life for the local communities. These grants ranged from small amounts to pay for local fun days, coach trips for pensioners and Christmas and Easter fairs, to substantial sums to help refurbish communal buildings, top-up local school budgets and pay for valuable social services across Churchill ward.

Ward funding was used to support a wide range of projects such as South West Festival, Ante and Post Natal Classes, replacement of cellar cooling plant at the Churchill Gardens residents Hall, South Westminster Community Choir, Westminster Boating Base Upperdeckers Programme, Ebury Food Surplus and Thamesbank Centre Covid-19 Support programme, St Barnabas School, Holy Apostles Sports Club and many more. For more information, please contact Cllr Murad Gassanly.
