After a protracted and lengthy round of applications from a number of developers lasting several years, consent was finally agreed to provide 89 residential units with extra care services and 121 beds Care home including 12 affordable housing units on this site. 

Residents of Lords View II and The Pavilions which overlook the site came together, supported by your councillors. Cllr Rigby spoke at the Planning Sub-Committee to ensure their voices were heard. The Committee granted permission but agreeing to ensure a proper Service Management Plan and Construction Operation Management is put in place to help protect the amenity of residents both during and after construction. "We would like to thank Cllr Rigby for voicing our concerns and representing our interests" said a resident who lives in Lords View II.
