Greening

A survey of Victoria Street took placeto identify potential tree planting sites. The survey shows that the footways are full of electricity cables which makes it difficult to plant trees. 

Cllr Selina Short says “I am going to continue to work on finding a way of greening Victoria Street as it not only makes it pleasanter for those of us who live or work in the area; it also has proven health benefits. There does not seem to be an easy solution which is probably why this has not been done already – however I cannot believe that it is not possible. Cllr David Harvey and I have also met with TfL, to ask about greening Vauxhall Bridge Road. We await their response.”
