The Prince of Wales formally opens Cleveland Place

St James's

The public realm scheme at the junction of St James’s Street, Pall Mall and Cleveland Place was opened by Prince Charles on 4th March 2019. The public realm changes saw a new roundabout introduced and also extensive pavement and junction upgrades. This should ease congestion whilst also making it safer for cyclists and pedestrians to navigate the junction. 

Cllr Louise Hyams says “We’re delighted this scheme has been completed, which provides improved access and safety for road transport, cyclists and also pedestrians. The official opening with Prince Charles was the perfect way to celebrate a major public realm scheme in St James’s.”
