Police

We are increasingly receiving complaints from our residents about the open drug taking and dealing on our Pimlico streets. The situation has been particularly bad recently with reports of drug users and dealing in Warwick Square directly outside the residential properties as well as on St George’s Drive and Gloucester Street. Not only was this upsetting for residents but it attracted a large amount of anti-social behaviour including discarded drug paraphernalia. A police operation was launched to target the main drug supplier.

On Tuesday 5th February, officers from the Gangs Unit arrested the dealer concerned in supplying the users. Officers recovered a large amount of Class A drugs, namely crack cocaine and heroin, along with a large amount of cash and phones used for dealing. The suspect has now been charged and remanded in custody awaiting sentence.
