Xmas Lunch

Robert, Paul & Gotz were pleased to once again be supporting via the local ward budget the St John’s Wood Christmas Committee lunch. This event goes back many years and is aimed at providing a welcome meal for those who find themselves alone and isolated in St John’s Wood and Maida Vale area.

As Cllr Robert Rigby said ‘I was delighted to pop along to this wonderful event and see over 100 residents sitting down to a festive meal. This annual event is very special as it helps to bring people together who otherwise may find themselves alone on Christmas Day’.

Labour-run Council belatedly tries to distance itself from the Labour Government’s proposed planning reforms

Thursday, 14 August, 2025
Westminster Conservatives are delighted that the current Labour council has finally publicly agreed with the Conservative councillors’ position on Angela Rayner’s proposed planning reforms. This Labour Government has proposed completely removing local councillors from the decision-making process on almost all applications. Westminster Conservatives pointed out that this is undemocratic and could undermine public trust in planning decisions back in March.
