NA and CD

Our residents are very concerned about the lack of police presence across Pimlico, resulting in an increase in begging and rough sleeping. Westminster’s latest analysis shows that crime is up 9% in Westminster, while neighbourhood police numbers have fallen by 52%. We continue to have concerns about the new Borough Command Units. From February next year, Westminster will be sharing a senior police management team with Hammersmith and Fulham and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Cllr Nickie Aiken joined the Met Commissioner Cressida Dick for a walk through the West End to look at some of the problems affecting residents. Nickie continues to make the case that Westminster must be treated differently from other boroughs as we have more concentrated crime than any other local authority in London.
